NVIDIA hat heute einen neuen nForce2-Chipsatz mit dem Namens-Beisatz Ultra 400Gb angekündigt. Er bringt, die vom Athlon 64-Chipsatz nForce3 250Gb bekannten Funktionen, auch auf die Sockel A-Plattform.

Der nForce2 Ultra 450Gb besitzt die gleiche Northbridge, lediglich die Southbridge wurde aktualisiert. Sie bietet nun native SATA-Unterstützung, sowie einen GBit/s Ethernet-Adapter, der direkt über Hyper Transport angebunden ist und nicht vom PCI-Bus abhängt.
